Meet John Hur, DDS, MD

Dr. John Hur is a dual-degree oral and maxillofacial surgeon who combines advanced academic training with extensive surgical experience. He grew up in Illinois and graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology.

Dr. Hur earned his dental degree at the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry where he graduated near the top of his class and contributed significantly to craniofacial research. He then completed medical school at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. His Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency took place at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University Medical Center where he received comprehensive training in anesthesia, trauma, pathology, general surgery, and reconstructive surgery.
